Turtles all the way down Cake

In Japanese lore, Turtles are one of a few animals said to live for one thousand years. In Hindu mythology, the world is said to be a flat disk supported on the back of a massive World Turtle.

But what does the world turtle stand on? Another turtle, obviously.

So I present the Turtles All The Way Down Cake in honor of #semi-sweeties's 1000th member celebration! On the back of these "fondant" turtles, is propped a mighty World Cake, full of marbled strawberry-yellow cake (for the molten core) and oceans of lightly minted frosting. And not to disrespect the world, a slice of Africa is brought to you on the back of a smaller continent turtle.
